PSA final

• What is a PSA? A PSA is an ad that gives information to the public about safety and health, usually on a poster, commercial, or radio.
• Did you learn anything new about your topic? I learned about the importance to not drink and drive and I also learned a few statistics.
• How do you feel about your final product? I am happy the way my poster turned out but there were a few things I wanted to change but would not work the the way I had the poster set up.
• What was the most difficult part of the project? The most difficult part of the project was to come up with an idea and how you would portray the message.
• How are you feeling about your Digital Art Skills now? I feel much more confident with my computer editing skills after taking this class. In the beginning I struggled a little because I had never used the photoshop app before but I am much more familiar and can do things without having to ask how to do something.

PSA Every 15 Minutes

• What's your topic? My topic is every 15 minutes
• Why do you care about it? Our school is really involved in this and I also know people that have been affected my drunk driving.
• What do you want to say? "Every 15 minutes a teenager dies as a result of drunk driving"
• How do you intend to portray your message? I will have a line of people in silhouettes and one person in a red silhouette. and above and below them will be the text.

Typography Self Critique

• What is your typography piece about? Why did you choose this subject? My picture is of a giraffe. I chose this because they are one of my favorite animals. 
• Did you choose specific words for your piece? Why did you choose the words you did? The words I chose were words that described the animals and facts about the animal. I chose them because they made the most sense to use for this project.
• This is a tedious process, be honest! How are you feeling about typography now that your done? Hate it? Enjoying the final product? Was it worth your time? I do like the final project and I do think it was worth my time, but it was a tedious process.
• What might you try different next time? Next time I think I would try out different fonts, but I'm pretty happy with the final product.

The first one is a cool angle and Gymnastics is want she is the most passionate about.
The second picture is of my dad and his work gloves and some tools. This picture tells more about him than his face ever could because he loves his job and his hands show it.

This picture is of under the sea and I added safari animals. I did this because I like the ocean and I also like safari animals so I added the two together to make it about both ideas. This photomontage is the picture of my choice.

iPhrase 3 images

Explain your iPhrase
          My iPhrase is iPlaySoftball. I chose this because I do play softball and it is on of my favorite sports.

Why did you choose these poses?
          I chose these poses because they are the traditional poses that you use during a game of softball.

Why did you highlight the details that you did?
          I highlighted the areas because my outfit at the time was pretty boring. The ball, glove, and bat really are needed to tell what my iPhrase was and are needed to play softball.

Any other little tidbits about the process?
          This process was difficult to do and was time consuming. Things I found to be hard were selecting small areas and also putting all the finished pictures into one canvas because they were all different sizes.

Filter Self Critique

What do you think is most successful about this piece?
          I thing the most successful part is that the filter kept his facial features but added a cool techno effect.

What do you wish you could change?
          I wish I could change is the lighting on the left side of his face. It just cuts off his face and makes it blend in with the background.

What was the most enjoyable part of this project for you?
          The most enjoyable part of this project was that there were so many different filters you could use. Also, I liked how now that we know how to use the filters, we can use it on our own pictures.

Did you find anything about this process challenging?
          The only thing I found challenging was dealing with the light in the original picture. If you tried to change anything in the picture besides the light it would distort the face.

Do you think you will use these filters in the future for anything?
          I definitely think I will use filters in the future, either on school projects or for my own personal use.

How do you feel about your digital art skills so far?
         I feel like my skills in digital art are getting a lot better than when I started this class. I have never really been an artsy person and now that I get to explore the different things I can do, my skills are getting better.

Filter Gallery

 On the first on I used Cutout and made most of the levels around the same number so you could still get his figure but make the picture smoother.

On the second one I used diffuse glow and changed the glow amount to make the picture clearer and brighter .

Pop Art Critique

I looked at Maddi's pop art. I liked the pops of color it had and it wasn't dark. I also liked how they looked almost cartoonish. Things she could have done differently are to use more variety of color because the first five pictures are around the same color. One more thing I would change would be to change the background color because some of them are the same.

This photo was very moving in that you could feel something by looking at this lady and not even seeing her whole face. I thought this photo was very powerful.

Pop Art

Pop art is art using modern media and everyday things and uses primary and secondary colors to add different contrast to photographs. Pop art was discovered by Andy Warhol in the 1960's. Pop art uses the same picture but with different effects then is placed together in a single photo.
